Thai media Sanook reported with still shots and a video from Phitsanulok in the north that the country was literally freezing!

The cold snap had reduced areas to around 5C but on high elevations this was -1C.

Such temperatures were recorded in Ban Mae Rong Klao where a homestay operator called Phimonmas took her guests to admire the spectacle of frost on cars.

Yes frost, in Thailand!

Must be cold in those houses up there in the mornings. I can't imagine many have heating.

A toasty 21C early this morning when I went out for a run.

Nice sunrise...

Last two days we didn't use aircon, Only Fans.
Will we be arrested?

I imagine fat girls are finally getting some action at night.

They hold a lot more heat.

Sleeping with a blanket in Bangkok. Wife has an extra as well. She still needs the fan on. Crazy Thais...

Nice change.

Nah!  They'll probably just let you off on a warning.

A brass monkey walks into a blacksmith's shop and asks " Can you do any welding?"

Watch out for low flying brass monkeys.????

Brass monkeys were actually the regulators for old steam engines 2 brass balls brazed to short lengths of steel which spun rapidly as the balls raised the spinning slowed. In very cold weather the brazing could break down and the brass balls would fly off.

Sorry to hear such an uninformed statement. Climate change means just that. It means extreme spikes on both ends of the spectrum. Duh!

Thailand is free

*zing*

My old wooden house in Loei (45 years ago)  got right nippy in the winter.  The bathroom was under the house so I had to go outside and down the stairs.  I had to set a tub of water outside in the sun with an old bus window cover and bathe right after I got home from work in the late afternoon.  Future MIL made me a comforter stuffed with cotton.

Will wait for the same people to say its hot as hell in couple months when its 40+

Yesterday morning in SanSai it was 12c, today it's only 13c.

That's very cold for where I live.

I didn't know where Phitsanulok was so I asked my wife, she asked me "Why?", I said "because the news says they have ice on the cars now", she says "Yes the police are bad there", I was confused and after some back and forth questions she thought when I said "ice" that I was talking about ya-ba, 555.
