2022 is now upon us, and we don’t really know what it's going to look like in terms of the economy, COVID, and what day to day life will be like for the foreseeable future. There are some things that are directly in our control, however. One of those things is finally getting your Thai language skills to a level that you are proud of.

So many of my friends have been in Thailand for years, and they still barely speak more than taxi Thai or some restaurant Thai. When comparing them with my friends who can speak the language, you can tell that their Thailand experiences are quite different from each other.

For lack of a better term, Thai culture is quite foreign from cultures back in the west. There are so many things that we find strange or weird. Learning the Thai language is not a magic key that unlocks a full understanding of Thai culture. Rather, it is a key that helps to decode so many of our experiences that we find confusing or flat out backwards.

On the flip side, it shows that you care to learn about the country that you currently call home. We usually expect people to learn English when they move to the USA or UK, and we should also hold ourselves to the same expectations when the tables are turned.

We can't control many external things in 2022, but we can improve ourselves to make the best of any situation that life delivers to our door. Zoe Thai has a fantastic online program to help non-Thais learn the Thai language in an easy to digest, simple format. Our teachers are super friendly, and they are all fluent in English. We have animated videos that will help guide you through situations that you may come across in Thailand, and you will also get a Zoe Thai quiz after every one on one class. We are so much more than just a freelance teacher.

Come give us a try. The first assessment class is free with any of our qualified teachers, and you’ll also get to access an animated video from our library as well as a Zoe Thai quiz!
