Ok So I just arrived in korat and wish to book xmas dinner where do you recommend at such short notice.

Think your SOOL in Korat.  Bangkok, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai's bigger hotels have special dinners set up.  You might check and see if one of the major hotels in Korat has such a set-up.  Not sure Korat has a big enough base to spend the coin on such a dinner.

Yea, used to get a butterball day's past, and have grocer saw in half.  Great for ThanksGiving & Xmas.  More than enough for the 3 of us, w/leftovers.  Oh well .... have to settle for picanha instead.

I found a place and booked for buffet at 595 baht per head (sima tani hotel) looks good value.

Sima Thani is a bit dull M8. I would suggest the 'Monkey Bar' - (once known as the Check Inn). I went last year and it was excellent - maybe get a beer this year ? ATB
