6m building height regulations. How is it measured?

We are building on a slope, so important to understand where the 6m starts from. 

 

Is it measured from the lowest point or the highest point of ground? Then to where, the top of the roof I guess?

Probley not helpful ..but never seen any house building regulations.  Kept too...eg building a walk  2m From a boundary with a window..... Lol

This might be something you have to check with the local authorities:  mayor, land office, etc.

 

It could very well be a regulation that differs from area to area.

 

If indeed there is such a regulation.

 

I have not heard of such a regulation as a nation wide standard.

Nothing to do with the land office. They are not concerned with buildings. 

You should check with your O.B.T or tesanan which are the bodies issuing the building permits.

Where I live we have strict 6 meter building height zone by the beaches. It's measured to the highest point on the roof from the 0-base; which in principle can be a general raised flattened land, but presumably not working if you raise the land under the building only...????

In our land area (outskirts of Bangkok) the limit is 12 meters, our architects said this is the limit for our local area. (They needed to get the local building rules to see this)
