Wonder the reaction of Thais being told your vaccine pass is fine, but you're still going to have to pay for 10 days quarantine on arrival in Europe !

  • Covid is going to be around until it mutates into a virus that has little to no effect. That's what happened in the 1918 flu epidemic, where each wave corresponded to a new variant. Until that happens

  • how would they know

According to a new tool developed by VisaGuide.World, which enables travellers to check the validity of their vaccine when travelling abroad, the following EU/Schengen Area countries accept Sinovac as valid proof of immunity:

  1. Austria
  2. Finland
  3. Greece
  4. Iceland
  5. Netherlands
  6. Spain
  7. Sweden
  8. Switzerland

With the possibility that this would change (it's not only Thailand that changes tack every now and then ????), as some recent studies (sorry, could not find the link anymore) indicate that immunity drops significantly against Omicron for all vaccines, and down to practically zero for Sinovac and Sinopharm.

This is btw not to be taken as yet another contemptuous statement against Sinovac and Sinopharm. Those vaccines were the first ones to be developed based on a virus form that has now mutated so much with time .... what do you expect?

Also, btw, I vaguely remember seeing also that the Sputnik vaccine offers near zero immunity.
