HI.  Presently living in Rangsit and thinking that getting out and doing some volunteer work might not be a bad thing to get me out of the house.

I got a feeling you need a work permit even if you do charity work or work for free.

    Great idea, I been thinking about some volunteers also but never got around to doing it.

    Be forewarned. People have been arrested and deported for this without the proper VISA. Welcome to Thailand. 

    Agree with above. You need a work permit if you are on a retirement visa.

    You cant get a work permit on a "Retirement" extension.
