I know that a famous pad krapow place in Bangkok run by a famous foodie f-rang uses duck eggs on their pad krapow but I don't know how well cooked the eggs are or if they will cook them runny if asked for.

That matters because the biolody of duck eggs is much different than chicken eggs so infection risk is significantly hgher with duck eggs. To avoid that risk, the eggs need to be cooked longer.

Anyway I recently found a place in Pattaya that offers steamed duck eggs on their pad krapow.

The default egg was runny (mai suk) which is exactly how I like it but that even carries a risk with chicken eggs as well (though less than with duck eggs)..

It was so incredibly delicious! One of the best pad krapows I' ever had.

But since then I learned about the big difference between the egg types and sadly I just don't think it's worth the health risk to order from that place again.
