bangkokstick
Hello, do you know if it is always difficult to change a Toyota Vigo evaporator and how much it costs ? I am also wondering if I should try to fix the leak with a spray, it seems to work sometimes: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/ac-stop-leak-i3078336139-s11309882032.html Thank you for your help. HauptmannUK
Evaps are nearly always awkward to access and involves a fair bit of dismantling. Forget quick-fix sprays and additives - will only cause further problems in the long run. 1

Not yet, it's not our main car, so it can wait, and I am still looking for someone with knowledge who could have something smart to tell. Few video from individuals telling that it worked for them https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=a%2Fc+super+seal&sp=CAI%3D
Yellowtail
When you have it recharged, how long does it last? How do you know it's the evaporator? It is a big job to change them on most vehicles, as often most of the dash needs to be removed. Toyota should be able to give you a quote for parts and labor, if you can't save 50% going with someone else that's using aftermarket parts, or 25% using OEM parts, I'd go with them. digbeth
if it's really leaking, running it dry would kill the compressor,

We have a Bosch automatic recovery and refill machine for regassing and repair of minor leaks. Anything more and it goes out to our AC specialists. Replacement of an evap seldom comes in at less than 1000GBP !

You didn't change the evaporator, sorry that you didn't even know.
