Applied on March 17, and then got a permitted to stay stamp until April 1, next year. That would assume the extension was granted on and stamped this past April 1. That's two weeks from application to approval, which seems an odd length for any 'under consideration' period. (They're normally 30 days.) Wife is not 50, and apparently well under 50, yet the stamp says 'RETIREMENT'', another oddity. Not that it's a biggie now, about which office approved the extension, because anomalies abound here. But looking at that stamp, I could not make out which office did this. Maybe it is indeed from Jomtien, OK. Still, it'd be best to resolve the situation sooner rather than later, as one probably gets cut a little slack with immigration for bringing an error, a discrepancy, to their attention when it's first discovered. Letting it stew until the next extension(s) is probably not a good idea.
