Missing Sound On Espn

Featured Replies

Anyone help me to identify why about 2-3 weeks ago I lost all commentary on one of the ESPN channels? This is very annoying as the extensive coverage of Wimbledon is now without any commentary, although I can still here all the sounds from courtside such as balls being hit, obscenities being uttered and mobile phones going off...

Anyone shed any light? Did I not pay my bill?

check your reomote for "Audio I/II" or something like that. most channels have many audio languages - you may have pressed it by accident.

Are you speaking about ESPN on UBC? If so Wimbleton is being shown on Star Sports, channel 33.

I have occasionally encountered programing on the UBC sports channels where there is no commentary, usually Channel 30, where the feed provided by the venue is heard but there is no commentator provided by the channel.

As I understand it, the venue controls the feed and sells it to broadcasters around the world, and it is left to them to hire the commentators to illuminate the action. Thus, you will see many booths with commentators speaking into many microphones broadcasting in many languages to many t.v. channels.

If you are getting sound from the venue, then there is nothing wrong with your audio.
