BANGKOK, Jan 24 (TNA) – The cabinet approved 1,200-baht handouts to people through the fourth phase of the half-half co-payment scheme.

Government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said the cabinet endorsed a 34.8-billion-baht budget for the fourth phase of the cost-of-living subsidy scheme that would be implemented for three months from Feb 1 to April 30.

Beneficiaries from the third phase of the scheme could confirm their participation in the fourth phase through the Pao Tang app from Feb 1.

Whoopi, they aint gonna be rich and can not buy much.  What kind of handout is this when folks need more to survive. That will give them 40 baht a day for food and misc....guess 1 meal a day works.

Pensioners don't qualify.

Their monthly default riches: 600thb.

Does that ever put 1200 thb in context?

You sure about that?  My woman who is a pensioner has received the 50/50 co-payment every time it has been offered. I know a second person who is a pensioner who also received it.  Paid through a government wallet app.

1,200baht total over 90 days co pay 50/50. Would work out to about 26 baht a day. However one has to have money in their bank account first, before the co-pay is applied.

You could add to it with your own handout.

One meal a day is just about enough to stay alive and feel grateful to our generous government and continue voting for them and propping up the economy.
