I have read that can change flight after getting the Thailand Pass QR code, can postpone the departure maximum 72 hours .... does it also mean that can fly 72 hours early than the date of the Thailand Pass ?

The answer to that is somewhat sketchy.... as there have been various answers to this question when posted before. Some people say its 72 hrs before and after, where as official information suggest within 72 hrs after. 

 

The MFA FAQ state the following: 

 

Yes. However, flight changes are permitted within 72 hours after the original flight time registered in the Thailand Pass without the need to apply for a new Thailand Pass QR Code, provided that all other required documents remain valid.

If you wish to bring your application forwards - the safest option is to resubmit a new application.

 

If there is not time, then the safest option is stick to the original plan - its 3 days.

You cannot array before the original flight date.

This new rule started on Jan 1st 2022.

Previously it could be 72 hours before or after, but they have since changed this.

As this has nothing to do with visas or Immigration from Thailand, I'll move to the Thailand Forum.

If you want to enter earlier you have to write to ministry of foreign affairs or to phuket authorities notifying them of new date. Probably need to wait for confirmation, but it was not stated in an official announcement. 
This rule came in effect around 8.01, when they were expecting to cancel already issued T&G passes. Many people, probably in thousands, entered thailand around that time, in fear their t&g will be nullified and no option of applying for a new one. 

now, with t&g opening again on monday, most probably this liberal approach will be reverted. so only 72h past the original permit

FYI I have a Thailand Pass to arrive on 28 Jan but made a late change yesterday to my flights to arrive tomorrow. I made a new application for TP for new arrival date and received approval in about 5 seconds.
