People in Thailand reminded of fines for failing to wear a face mask

I was at the traffic lights in town and they were being controlled by the Police and right next to them around 6 or so mo-cys. All but one not wearing a mask or crash helmet. I mentioned this to the one who knows everything sat next to me, and why the cops not doing anything. She trotted out her usual response "Thai people"

the rule about having to wear a mask when alone in a car

I understood that you don't have to but need to have a mask to hand if stopped? If you are in a car with anybody else, even own family, then yes.

Ignore the helmet laws. Ignore one way streets. Ignore turn indicators. Ignore speed limits. The Hub of Ignorance.

Ignoring the helmet law is acceptable. Ignoring the mask is not, people here value the regard for the community more than personal freedom. 'Greng Jai' has gone into overload with masks.
