Documents to provide to support Extension of Stay

Recommended Posts

I am planning to extend my Non O visa in the next few days. When I go to:

     https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714

it says the only documents needed are:

1. personal data form, TM7,

2. proof of 800,000 baht,

3. copy of passport.

Is this correct? Previously, I needed to provide a map showing location of accommodation, lease, and a copy of my TM6. In total, what do I need to provide to get an extension of stay?

Thanks in advance.

The info on the immigration website is only the basic requirements and what they have on the has been out of date for 3 years. For example the 800k baht only has to be in the bank for 2 months. Plus 3 months after the day you apply and then at least 400k baht for the rest of the year.

You will still need what you mentioned.

What is needed varies from office to office. Where will you be applying.

Which immigration office?

Obviously extension based on retirement.

OP, you haven't mentioned which immigration office you deal with.

Requirements can vary.

Here is a report that covers my experience at CW.

Note that for that report, appointments were not available at that time.

Is the 12 month bank statement required for extension of stay for retirement?

Your question is a good example of why folk should always state the immigration office.

The answer to any question is often ..."depends on you imm office".

At some offices for extensions retirement using money in bank method then bb along with photocopies of pages and bank letter is sufficient. One example CW.

At some other offices bank statements have become in vogue.

It's a raffle shoot.

I will be going to CW tomorrow. Thanks for the replies.

Sounds like you haven't made an appointment. That's fine, walk ins ok.

Everyone has their recommend timing.

Personally I arrive prior to 12.

Lunch break is 12-1pm.

Obtain your que number and go to lower level for banking requirements. Letter etc.

Make a small deposit at the same time.

There is also food court on that level.

When you return to enter imm office.....no need to que as you have your ticket number.

You will be out by 2pm.

There is photocopy stall same level as banks in case you need something.
