Facebook problem

This is a first for me. Working with my partner on a business page where we are both admins. Suddenly my facebook account is blocked and they want a copy of my passport. I dont doubt that FB is doing this. . .my account IS blocked.

So I sent a copy of my passport and I am still blocked for the next 24 hours.

This is a real pain and I now worry that maybe I should not have sent my passport copy  . . .but I saw no other option to get it open.

Anyone else have this or a similar problem??

Thanks for any kind of reassurance or any suggestion. . . How does one contact FB help without facebook? How do you get back on?

Have you gone through the Facebook help for setting up a personal/business account?

This info on why they ask for an ID

Why am I being asked to upload an ID to Facebook?

Set up your Facebook business Page

Perhaps you should wait for the 24hrs to elapse to see if they will give access to the account.

So frustrating . . .obviously no place to go for help. Email came from Mr. "noreply" so nothing there. And of course there will be no human involved in any of this.

So what is the alternative to Facebook?

TBH It does many of the things I want it to. . . . but the "team" cant leave good enough alone and the constant tinkering is a real bummer. I have a page for a book, for example. Just to see the page I have to wade through five screens with all kinds of <deleted> offers. "Do you want to schedule an event?" "Do you want to go live?" Do you want to have a party? Are you hiring staff? Do you want to have a sale? Hello? It's just a BOOK!!! .

Sometimes having your own website with wordpress or something like it is easier.
