ToyotaVigoThailand
hello I really need help please, When a Thai didn't get January 2022 and February 2022 salary, what can he do ? Do you know the legal process ? Company said that if staff want to leave, they can, and will get salary later. But company is living thanks to debt since years, so how could they pay the salary ? Are the owners responsible for the debt on their own personal money (they are rich), or there is no way that they are forced to sell some of their property to pay staff ? Please tell me everything you heard or know, even if not 100% sure, I am trying to get the maximum information without paying a lawyer (do you know if all staff can group and pay only 1 lawyer for all ?) Thank you so much
Popular Post Sheryl
You need to go to the Labor Dept and make a complaint. They are very helpful.

Popular Post blackcab
Contact the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare. Call their hotline 1546. They are very good at getting employees money back if at all possible.
bangkokstick
Maybe it is also valid for Thailand ? https://www.mom.gov.sg/faq/termination/my-employer-hasn-t-paid-or-has-only-partially-paid-my-salary-can-i-leave-without-serving-notice If you are still not paid your full salary within 7 days of it being due, your employer is considered to have breached the terms of employment. You can terminate employment without serving notice, and you should inform your employer of your decision in writing.

They carry a stick big enough to make they Employers pay up, whereas a Lawyer will just leech on your Money and carry no stick. Good Luck Employers such as these are just too frequent in Thailand.

ToyotaVigoThailand
Thank you, but do you know cases when finally staff couldn't get their salary after company closed ? If there is a risk, it can be useful to to something now, but if staff can be sure to get their salary at the end, maybe better not look for troubles before "the end" ?
