Popular Post snoop1130
The Thai government has reaffirmed Thailand’s neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The remarks were delivered Tuesday (March 1st) during a Thai Cabinet meeting to assess the unfolding crisis, in response to requests from over 25 diplomats in Thailand for the administration to speak out against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha said during the discussion that Thailand’s long-standing relationship with Russia must be considered and that the Kingdom must walk carefully. He noted that Thailand will adhere to ASEAN’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine dispute, as the grouping has advocated for discussions between the conflicting parties. Reuters Russia to widen trade, economic ties with Asia after Western sanctions I have never seen it any different to be honest, there's us, then there's them. Now that Putin can't trade with us anymore (the Western civilized world), he's going to focus on trading with them (the emerging nations, emerging market) instead. We see the World with our Western views, views which do not apply: - South of the Mediterranean sea. - South of the Equator. - East of Poland. - East of the Bosphorus. Now that the situation in these societies are evolving and emerging markets are thriving, Putin is going to reinforce Russia's ties to the rest of the unsanctioned World where his money will be welcomed and "ethics" are wholly different.
Popular Post Banana7
Thailand will soon start to pay the price for their "neutral" position. Western companies are withdrawing investments from Russia, and soon they will be canceling or reducing investments in Thailand since Thailand hasn't acknowledged the illegal, and immoral actions of Russia. 6

Popular Post Walkabout
Here we go again with the (mostly) negative comments towards Thailand . . . Why do we need to take a position (against Russia)? Why only white versus black, “who is not with us is against us” . . . ? We do not know anything about the real thoughts and actions of politicians, military and other rich and powerful men, none of them having righteous motives Many things are in the play, Freedom (we cherish it . . . euh . . . hello Covid vaccination mandate), Democracy (we fight for it . . . In the EU, the Commission takes the decisions, the Parliament handles only less important matters, just like in the old URSS), Economy (selling arms, controlling energy – think of North stream 2, . . .) . . . these are some of the visible reasons. But there are more obscure reasons, one of them being the need for the USA to rally its NATO and EU allies to quell the beginning of some dissensions withing the group . . . For me, it is wise for Thailand to take a neutral position. 6 5 14

If you are happy to close your eyes to what is going on then that is your choice but it truly speaks volumes about you and the Thai leadership. I hope you or your family are never subjected to this because I have seen war and what Ukraine is going through is a tragedy, one man's ego trip leading to murder and chaos, it's awful and unforgivable

It matters not the conspiracy theories you believe what does matter is that one man has plunged Europe and the world into crisis and you like the cowardly Thai leadership are happy to ignore this, at least we understand the cowards in charge of Thailand but with you I am struggling so best I leave it there I think
Walkabout
Correction on the date: Congo vs Katanga : 1960-1963 What I say is that Russia is wrong but that parties on the other side are also wrong. And our media are more propaganda than objective reports . . . i certainly do not take side, I only want the fighting to stop.
