March 7, 20224 yr This is totally frivolous. I thought of putting it in the Pub Forum but cannot find it. Just before Christmas my daughter saw some of my underpants on the washing line and commented that they were getting tatty. So. she bought me some new ones for Christmas. They are an american brand to replace my old Marks and Spencer's. Although the labels say that they are all the same size the americans are slightly smaller. Do Scotsmen have bigger <deleted> than the Yanks?

I always thought that Scotsmen don't wear underwear - or is that just under the kilt? In the days when Marks & Sparks had a reputation for quality, their underpants sizes were always on the generous size.
March 9, 20224 yr Really? You still wear underwear? Why? Underwear is superfluous. Wearing underwear, these days, is like wearing a cravat from the age of Dickens. Also, in this clime, underwear is just too hot. I would rather don a top hat.... Edited March 9, 20224 yr by GammaGlobulin
March 9, 20224 yr Shoes here are in European sizes, shorts in UK sizes (inches). Shirts are not on collar size but S,M, L, XL, etc. Can be confusing.
March 19, 20224 yr T'is confusing. Picked up a new T-shirt. Same size as my others. Found that this years XX is smaller than last years XX, It's over two inches narrower and the arm holes are smaller. Irritating
