The surging number of new Covid cases has forced many eateries in Hanoi to shut down or empty out.

 

A pho restaurant on Ly Quoc Su Street has been closed for days. As of Tuesday, Hanoi has recorded 460,203 Covid cases in the current outbreak. The capital keeps logging the record number of daily cases, leading the nation’s Covid daily tally.

 

"Due to the stressful development of the pandemic, the restaurant will stop serving for several days," the notice states.
