In the latest saga involving a foreigner claiming to be a victim of criminals, Cambodian police are now investigating a scenario described by a Thai woman who says she fell victim to an organ trading gang after being tricked into coming to the Kingdom to work for a Chinese company.

As reported first by the media in Thailand, the 25-year-old woman was among a group of eight Thai nationals sent back to Thailand after being caught working illegally in Cambodia. They were received by Thai Police on Wednesday at Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province.

Recounting her account to the Royal Thai police officers, she said that upon  her arrival in Preah Sihanouk province’s Sihanoukville, she was told to work for Chinese-operated call centre, and her refusal to do so led to her being “assaulted, detained and left to starve”. The scammers told her that in exchange for her freedom, she needed to contact her family in Thailand to pay them, she claimed.

Hard to fathom why they would siphon off blood if intending to harvest her organs. If anything this would damage the organs and make them unusable.

And blood per se is not that valuable.

Also hard to see why stun guns would be used.  Accomplishes nothing and might also harm the organs they supposedly wanted to harvest.

There was another incident recently of claims of blood being siphoned off that proved to be a hoax.
