Test and go-CCSA Meeting today

Featured Replies

Reports have it that at today's meeting of the CCSA the following was achieved ( or not!)

1. Test and Go remains.

2.Covid insurance at $20,000 remains.

3.AQ MAY be reduced to 5 days for the non vacciunated, but not confirmed.

4.Pre departure PCR test MAY be dropped but not confirmed as yet

I think they may need ANOTHER meeting to MULL it over!

Pre-departure PCR should remain...........testing on arrival should be dropped.

That gives some protection against spreading the virus and tourists would be 'happier' to book a holiday.

Oh well.., Test & Go is still clearly the main stumbling block…

Only those who need to come here continue to hoop jump, the majority of everyone else and fence sitters will simply continue going elsewhere.

Exactly this… no reason for anything else & I like the idea of getting on a plane where all (most) others are not carrying Covid (or hopefully a cold or flu).

That's a right pig for me.  I usually (used) to go back to the UK every 9 months, check out my property, see a consultant and pick up some medication and get back on the plane 22 hours after landing at Heathrow.

Keeping the PCR in place will ensure that this is impossible.

I'm all for testing, but let's amend all testing to the cheap laterals for departures. No tourists are coming with pcr's in place so, lets change it now to the cheaper option.
