snoop1130 Posted March 24, 2022 Share Posted March 24, 2022 The Thai Police Cyber Taskforce (PCT) announced today (Thursday) a crackdown on a major call centre gang in Cambodia and the arrest of 28 suspects, among them two Taiwanese. Numerous items of equipment used in the alleged scam, including 30 iPhones, 68 AIO computers, four notebook computers and eight walkie-talkies, were seized in raids on gang’s two offices in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk Province. Thailand’s Deputy National Police Chief and head of the PCT, told the media today that the successful operation on Sunday was facilitated by Cambodian police, who led the Thai police in the raids of the two offices, one of which was an abandoned factory. They used to have a similar scams going on at Suvarnabhumi airport. Foreigners taken to hotel rooms and extorted.
