Milk seller tells of harrowing ordeal when caught up in gang violence

Daily News went to Bang Bua Thong in Nonthaburi to talk to the owner of an all night milk bar who got caught up with interschool and inter tech college gang strife. 

 

Suphaporn, owner of Cocoa Mafia, said she had invited a couple of customers over via Facebook to come to the shop and discuss the purchase of her iPhone.

 

While they were talking about this at the shop at about 10 pm - they were surrounded by about ten people on motorcycles.

An explosive device was thrown at them. Everybody scattered in all directions.

 

The innocent lady needed hospital treatment for damage to her leg. 

 

Police made 3 arrests with all pointing to a 15 year old boy as the thrower of the explosive device.

Milk and carnage might be a more apt name.

I guess it was just another Thai reconstruction. This time they tried to do their version of the Korova milk bar from A Clockwork Orange, famed for its gangs and violence. Wonder if they had similar tables.....
