AndyAndyAndy
Past 3 weeks our house in Issan is infested with mosquitos. If you sit down in living room/bedroom within 15 second there are 10 - 20 mosquitos hovering around you. And you leaving with 10 itchy bites. Ridiculous! Is it like that around you too now? Or is it just something with our house?
tethys
Well, yeah, its well known, they are everywhere in Thailand. If you want to avoid them you should move to a tall building, they cannot or dont like to fly high. Im on the 9th floor and only heard one today after a week. Window always open. It probably moved up in the staircase or in somebody's errands bags. Edited April 4, 2022 by tethys

rbkk
"Ranger" brand in an areosol can (blue) does the trick. Only ever seen it in 7-11, so it must be everywhere! The benefits of this brand over others is the lack of toxic smelling fumes so it's the only brand I can get away with in the house without the wife complaining. pgrahmm
We're in San PaTong....We have an open well + a small decorative, stilled water, rock pond with a seldom used fountain right by our bedroom bay window (as does our closest Mubaan neighbor).... I've been telling the wife mosquito, mosquito, mosquito warnings.... Result? We don't have hardly any - don't know why....
CharlieH
Rarely see them, all windows doors have screens. No still water nearby. When it is "the season" Moo baan sends a guy round everywhere with a fog blower, wipes out anything and everything. ???? 1
