EVs maker dismisses rumours over lack of transparency, prepares legal actions against leaker

Energy Absolute Plc (EA), a maker of electric vehicles, said on Thursday recent rumours about its businesses, which caused its shares to fall abruptly in a couple days, are untrue, and it is planning to sue the rumour leaker.

 

EA shares traded at 90 baht, down 4.25 per cent from its prior closing. The stock began to slip from the level around 100 baht when the rumours broke on Tuesday.

“The information published in various media regarding the Company’s projects … as well as the share trading of Somphote Ahunai, the Chief Executive Officer, is false in any way,” Amorn Sapthaweekul, deputy chief executive, said in a statement.

maybe the 'leaker' has a point and maybe internally there should be some changes...

Thai CEO trading shares?  That's not a rumour but SOP - Standard Operating Process - usually done by family/friends/employees.

Isn’t it the norm in Thailand to sue someone if you write or say something derogatory about them or there company, but one never hears the outcome when it eventually goes to court that’s if it ever dies end up in court !
