ooh, wise men of thaivisa.com , please please help.... (and use as simple words as you can, i'm just a silly backpacker... :o )

ok, so i appologize if this was adressed already, but i browsed the forum for an hour now, and it just left me even more confused.

i arrived to thailand a week ago and got the 30 days visa. the problem is that my return ticket is on 24 of september, and from diffrent reasons, i can't change it. so i am here for 3 1/2 months, is it manageble? can i do 4 visa runs in a row? can i do one visa run till august and then leave thailand and get 2 months tourist visa from laos?

and if i'm bugging you with questions, where is the best place to do a visa run?

thank you!

natalie.

If you said where you were (other than in a state of confusion) we might be better able to suggest the best place to visit for a visa (which is what you will have to do and should do earlier rather than later).

Yes, you should be able to obtain a tourist visa in Laos, Malaysia or Singapore that will provide 60 days and then another 30 day with a 1,900 baht extension of stay from an immigration office. You would also be able to cross border/return for another 30 day entry up to two times but you might need a valid ticket out and up to 20,000 baht in cash to obtain the 30 day stamp. Best to save that option for last (when you have the ticket out) if required.

i am in conchanburi, thinking of moving to krabi tommorrow.

my original idea was do a visa run from puket, get another 30 days stamp till august, and then go to vientiene and get a 60 days visa from there, but will they issue that if they see 2 stumps of 30 days already?

should i better go to vientiene now and get the 60 day visa first?

still very much confused, since everywhere it is said that you cant stay more than 90 days, and i have 3 and a half months...

You can not stay more than 90 days in a six month period on visa exempt entry. You can stay if you have a visa. That is why it is better to obtain visa when you can and save visa exempt for later or when something happens and you can not obtain the visa. I would get a visa as only one trip required and then you can extend that visa for 30 days at the nearest Immigration office. Maybe a quick trip to Penang? Submit passport in morning and obtain visa next workday afternoon and have a pleasant vacation there.

But to answer the question on two stamps - we have heard no reports of any Consulate using two or even three 30 day stamps to not issue a tourist visa.
