The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) will allow certified restaurants to serve alcoholic beverages until midnight starting next month.

The CCSA spokesperson noted that night entertainment venues - such as nightclubs, bars and karaoke parlors - will remain closed. However, operators can transform these venues into restaurants to serve alcohol after they receive approval from their local communicable disease committee.

So there is the confirmation of Prayut killing the "old style" industry.

With the country on the verge of opening up without many restrictions the "entertainment" venues must become restaurants.

I walked thru Patpong a week ago. All shuttered except 3 or 4 places that somehow had a special exception. Cowboy is mostly open.

I haven't seen any alcohol restrictions in restaurants for months.

British/Irish pubs are open.

My mate who is on holiday here us also going to nightclubs (I draw the line there).

I'm a bit confused as to what's supposed to be closed.
