Eurovision Song Contest Turin 2022 ?!?

Recommended Posts

Will prob av a punt on Ukraine, they sure to get an element of sympathy vote and from the few just shown its IMO (of course) was the best Tune, as we all know being the Eurovision it has to be slightly Wacky, and a catchy tune... Ukraine ticks all the boxes there

We was brought up on Eurovision from the 60s and still to this day (tongue in cheek - we love it) we have a big night of it and enjoy all the obvious biased voting its hilarious, and overall more entertaining than some of the acts, in UK we had the dulcet tones of Terry Wogan presenting the show who would give some brilliantly funny comments, now Graham Norton does a fantastic job over last years making it better for UK audiences/English speaking countries. memorable moments -

Was it the Polish entry where it was practically a Soft Porn strip show with a few ladies leaving nothing to be desired? Totally <deleted> song but what an eyeful lol, they got my vote that year

But in 1984 it was Sweden's entry with a trio called Herry's (three brothers) who stole the show in Luxemburg with Diggle Ooo, Diggle Heyy (Golden Shoes) a song of the times, they looked good, sang good and could cut a move also, catchy tune all what Eurovision should be about - FUN enjoy'

So Ukraine is in the finals.

I guess they are at least one of the favorites.

They don't have the best song but there is the politics.

I still don't think they will win because the public may give it to them, but I don't think the judges will.

But other than the message factor, if Ukraine does win there is no way they will be in a position to host next years ESC. Maybe they could do it in a Polish border town.

So are you happy Ukraine won?

It was obviously largely an understandable political statement and its certainly great to kick Putin in the nuts but did the best entry win?

I don't think so.

I think Sweden or Spain were more deserving.

Also the UK.

The irony of the UK almost winning this time but blocked by politics is rather rich.

I don't understand what all this got to do with gay people

It developed that way.

Obviously its not exclusively gay but it has massive gay appeal.

Not only but yes a camp sensibility is a very typical and indeed a branding definition part of it.

This one not so gay.

Classic first line!

Instead of meat I eat vegetables and p____y.

Alot of people are upset that Latvia didn't make the finals.

I was surprised that Malta didn't either.

Im UK, I thought Germany was a great song, could not believe he hardly scored overall (then remembered tbhis is ESC lol) Im not being biased here but UK was the best song as shown in the betting (excluding Ukraine of course) as we seen the Judges vote was UK with Sweden & Spain, then the public vote with a score going to Ukraine which was unbeatable as soon as it was announced.

If we (UK) had to lose it was good it was to Ukraine on the night.

As for the French entry we was wondering what, how their song had anything to do with the French nation? it was more like a Turkish or middle eastern type of thing...

Anyway Freedom was a winner on the night and the right result, any other year Sam would have won.

My bookies bet I took last week - was 6/1 UK to win, Ukraine top 5 & Ireland top 10 obviously money down the chute as Eire failed to progress the semi oh well nxt yr??? maybe have it in Moscow if things pan out...??? Oh Vlad what have you done you silly little man
