That's a whiptail scorpion, it can pinch you with it's pincers, but it is harmless. It sprays acid out it's whiptail to discourage enemies.

I always seem them around my house.

Just put it back in the garden, it eats other bugs.

Scorpions are classed arachnida like spiders, they sometimes they have eight legs sometimes six and no antenae. This guy has eight legs.

An easy & safe way to remove ticks - cover the tick with a large piece of cotton wool, which has been soaked in a vegetable oil or baby oil. Use sticking plaster to hold the cotton wool in place over/on the tick. Re-apply oil to keep wool soaked (every hour or so).
