I did not make notes when I was there, so can't recall the exact particulars, but I do remember that in KL, Malaysia I had to go to a local bank to get some of the correct currency to pay for my visa there. It is different in Laos, but I'm not sure how.

In other words, one can not expect to pay for a Thai visa with Thai baht. But maybe that is acceptable some places.

So my question is, what are the currencies required to pay for Thai visas in Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Burma and any other countries that you have knowledge of. (In the US, it is US dollars).

And, for bonus points, what are the currencies required for entry visas to those countries and what are the currency requirements for travel within those countries?

Got to go again soon so thought i might try to pre-plan it this time... 500 Baht does not equal $10
