National – The Thai Ministry of Public Health is preparing to readjust the number of Covid-19 daily infections by removing the patients found via ATK self-administration, starting June 1st.

Dr. Sumani Watcharasin, an assistant to the deputy spokesman of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), stated during an interview regarding the dashboard system of the Department of Disease Control in which the number of ATK tested patients was not reported yesterday, May 28th, that more than 50 percent of recent cases are asymptomatic, so from now on the report is starting to focus on those who have symptoms and are being treated at hospitals.

They weren't reliable to start with. Ditch all numbers except hospitalization and deaths, which still may have some significance.

Ditch them all and instead publish bi-annual reports of numbers of Thais having to survive in abject poverty due to this government, it will be more meaningful perhaps.

I have never heard yet that omicron is over 50% asymptomatic.

People do self-test because they have some symptoms, however mild they are.

They also test when close contacts are positive, yet they themselves don't have symptoms yet.

Tests should be carried out each time there is possibility of infection. And self-isolation should still be carried.

Hence reporting to authorities of any infection will show a true scale.
