"This isn't Pattaya at Songkran!" - dad goes to cops after son injured in attack

A resident of a housing estate in Bang Saothong, Samut Prakan went to the local police after his three year old son was injured when drunken revellers in the street threw a lump of concrete through the back window of his car.

 

Kiatkhun Umklang, 32, was on his way home with his 22 year old girlfriend and 3 year old son. 

 

He was furious when the road leading up to a bridge was blocked by two pick-ups and people dancing in the street to loud music.

 

He honked his horn three times to no avail before parking on the left.

The revellers were in no mood to get out of the way and an argument ensued in which beer bottles were thrown at the couple and the concrete was tossed through the back of a Honda Jazz in which the young kid was sleeping.

The family was patched up with stitches in hospital before a report was filed with the Bang Saothong police. 

 

The story hit social media resulting in Thai Rath meeting the victim in the area next day for some pointing at the scene. 

 

Kiatkhun said he was fed up with people partying in the road like this.

 

"This isn't Bang Saen or Pattaya at Wan Lai, you know," he observed referring to the traditional celebration in those places at Songkran.

I don´t! Tried it for 35 years, and it didn´t work out well. Now I have lived 17 great years without that problem.
