Thailand reports first case of monkeypox in transit passenger to Australia

Thailand has reported its first case of Monkeypox, in an air passenger travelling from Europe who stopped over at an international airport in Bangkok for about two hours prior to transiting onto a flight to Australia, where he later developed symptoms, according to the Disease Control Department.

Price of diesel in Thailand to rise by another one baht/litre as global prices surge

The Fuel Fund Executive Committee decided today (Monday) to increase the retail price of diesel fuel by 1 baht to 33 baht per litre from tomorrow. The new price will remain for at least a week, as the committee will meet again on June 6th to decide whether the price should be further adjusted.

38-year-old suspect barely escapes public lynching at reenactment after allegedly killing two of his relatives and injuring one with firearm in Chonburi

Ban Bueng district, Chonburi — A 38-year-old intoxicated man allegedly killed two of his male relatives and seriously injured one, whom he claimed had slapped him in the face before, with a firearm in Chonburi. The suspect reportedly barely escaped the lynching of the victims’ relatives.

Monkeypox case in Thailand confirmed in transit passenger at Suvarnabhumi Airport last week

The Chief of the Epidemiology Division of the Department of Disease Control within the Ministry of Public Health, Dr Chakkarat Pitayowonganon, has confirmed one case of monkeypox in a transit passenger in recent days travelling from Europe to Australia via Thailand who was reportedly asymptomatic.

Man guns down three after being asked for a beer as a 16-year-old is found dead in Pathum Thani

Police officers set up a crime scene at a building site in Pathum Thani on Saturday night after the remains of a 16-year-old were found on the scene with a single bullet wound to the chest area. Police later established that he had died during a youth gang ambush on the construction site earlier in the day. (Inset) The 11 mm handgun used later in Chonburi where a 38-year-old man on a motorcycle gunned down three older men after taking offence when one asked him for a bottle of beer.
