BANGKOK, June 1 (TNA) – The price of cooking gas rose by one baht per kilogram today, resulting in the price of a 15-kilogram cylinder going up to 363 baht, in line with a resolution of the board of the state's Oil Fuel. Fund to gradually increase it.

Regarding the price hike, Wattanasak Sueaiam, director-general of the Department of Internal Trade, said that his department was concerned on and aware of impacts on food prices and it was difficult to prevent their increases because the situation resulted from the war in Russia and Ukraine that were the sources of raw materials used in the food industry of Thailand.

1 Baht / Kg for the Gas increase is a measly rise compared to the World prices.

However, with a 15 KG Bottle of Gas cooking maybe 150 Roadside Meals of Phad Kaprow, the Vendors will gouge the price by another 10 Baht per portion.

Shameless people.

Picked up a 15 kg bottle an hour ago and it was 400 baht, 380 last month and 360 prior to that so as the government announced, I think in April, the 20 baht increases have gone as planned. At that time the government said June would be the last of the 3 increases but there again, things change
