59 Rohingya refugees, including five children  were taken to and left on an island off the southern coast of Thailand, they had been there about a week before they were spotted by the coast guard.

 

Authorities are trying to trace the people who transported the group and had told them they were in Malaysia. It's likely the group will be returned to Bangladesh.

 

Two million methamphetamine pills have been seized from an abandoned van, which had been modified to look like an ambulance. Police gave chase to two  vehicles. They managed to stop one car in Saraburi  but the ambulance managed to escape speeding away with its siren wailing.. That was found later in Minburi Bangkok, it’s believed the drugs were being transported from Laos to southern Thailand.

 

Thai police have been ordered to be on a heightened alert for Iranian nationals and some Thai Muslims following an arrest of an Iranian man a spy a year ago in Indonesia, where the individual had entered the country several times using fake passports.


Extensive delays were experienced by travelers trying to fly out from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport over the weekend, the problem appeared to be a shortage of staff after many had been let go during Covid.

Thanks for the introduction to Surf FM. 

 

I'm getting tired of listening to Karl on 103 FM, mornings on Wednesdays and weekends, the other days are good, too much talk about Earl Grey tea and for some reason Karl thinks most of his listeners are working here in Pattaya ????, at least Tommy knows most of us are retirees. 

 

What happened to Brooksy and Deny, these guys were good to listen to, they've disappeared.  

 

Megan is great for a laugh, it's nice to hear a woman with a lovely accent, I remember when she was with 96fm.
