Hi...

Me and my boyfriend just receive new contract working in Ayutthaya. Right now we are in China. Does anybody know that for appliying type B and Type O visa we can do it after we enter The Kingdom or we have to do it here..

many info we have just make us so confuse. Consulate here say we can do it after but the company said that we cant..so maybe somebody can help me get the accurate info about this? esp we have to leave early next week.

Also does anybody know how much we have to pay for income tax in Thailand?

Although a tourist visa can be changed by Immigration if specific conditions are met I have no idea if your employment would meet them. But if you do not have acceptable paperwork the Consulate will not issue such a visa. And it should be a B visa if for employment. You will probably have to come to Thailand, obtain paperwork and make quick trip to a Consulate to obtain new visa.

You will have to pay tax if you work in Thailand. How much depends on your salary.

Your employer should take care of the income tax, deducting it at source.

This page should allow you to calculate how much tax will be due.

Remember the Thai tax year is Jan 01 - Dec 31.

We already tried to make visa here but our paper wasnt complete due to our contarct hasnt final yet and they said that we can get the visa after we enter Thailand.

But Thailand immigration said different things..

Is many ppl happen to have the same problem like us?

And does anybody has make Visa B inside Thailand?

For the taxes, can more than 10% per months if the salary is higher 100.000THB?

You can apply for the visa change to a "B" visa if you have at least 21 days remaining on your entry stamp and you qualify for the change of visa.

yes
