More than 2.8 million digital lottery tickets, for the July 1st draw, were sold in six hours, on their first day on sale, following the successful launch of online lottery ticket sales by the Government Lottery Office on June 2nd.

 

Chairman of the GLO’s lottery board Lawaron Saengsanit said today (Friday) that 5,173,500 digital lottery tickets were made available for sale via the “Pao Tang” platform at 8am today and 2,890,682 were sold to 521,427 buyers by 2pm.

 

For the first lot of digital tickets, for the June 16th draw, he said that 73,191 tickets, bought by 41,419 people, won prizes, worth a total of 247.43 million baht, including four first prizes.

I'll occasionally play the Thai lottery, anyone here know the official online site and how it works, buying tickets,  can farangs buy online tickets? TIA.

Yep there goes the street vendor with the "special number" overprized tickets. And again greed shoots itself in the foot.

No wonder.. In Phetchaburi Bigc they sell tickets for  90 THB each 2 for 190 THB and 5 for 600THB.. So the more you buy the more expensive the ticket get.. No wonder people don't want to buy anymore at sellersat these prices . People should not pay more than 80 THB and if sellers sell them for more.. don't buy them let them keep them...

Playing lottery is a manifestation of an idiocy. Much more that playing at any type of casino.

So clearly even though it is a word it was misused in the instance

I am always looking for my lucky numbers wasting time at overpriced local vendors.
