Whether it is selling, producing, importing, or exporting, the entrepreneurs must be of Thai nationality.

Whilst across the Cambodian border 25 June 2022:-

Well that indicates they grow very well outside in the open, well before they got chopped down anyway

Legalization in Thailand is a massive invitation to drug traffickers from around the planet to get involved. Every criminal organization from gangs to cartels are trying to figure out how to get in on the action in Thailand. Thai weed will be a game changer in the global black market for weed. The "good guys in bad guys out" scheme just got a whole lot more complicated ????

You are Soooo clueless I actually feel sorry for you.

Where have you been the last 50 years, for which Thailand was the hub of ganja export? The world no longer needs Thai weed as they are quite capable of producing a better product themselves!

Thailand's labor cost, land values, and lack of regulation and taxes will give Thailand one of the lowest costs of production in the world - by far. Oil extract is a commodity - as an ingredient for edibles, as are indoor buds where quality can be identical to western markets but at 1/3 the production cost. You can bet there will be deals between the big legal companies - like Tilary and big Thai companies like CP. Of course there will be a huge black market export market as well. Think about it ????

I bet this has upset some ex-pat "pot heads" who thought they could make a few bob!! Now the law is against them.

Planning on picking up perhaps where they left off at home?

Would say the opposite,

Legalisation will drive the prices down, do criminals can't make the same profits.

The war on drugs just created powerful gangs loaded with money, same as did prohibition.

I'm thinking about the global market, and the very low cost of production in Thailand for indoor buds and extracts which are both becoming global commodities. I'm sure the Thai gov and big corporate companies in Thailand like CP, and already in talks with global distributors like Tilery about exporting tons of weed and barrels of extracts. With the low cost of production here there will certainly be a black market too.

The legalisation was not well thought out, now they are

adding new laws to it as they go along ,expect more to

follow.

I thought THC was limited to .2% , but people are openly selling

with up to 30 % +- , also offering buds ,which are also

deemed to be illegal .????

It is only extracts over 0.2% THC that are illegal.

All other parts of the plant including the flowers (buds) can be any level of THC content and are legal to own, grow, distribute, use, buy and sell.

For reference The Nation, 26 June 2022:

........to warn Thais not to bring into Indonesia cannabis, hemp or any products that use the two crops as ingredients.

According to the embassy’s post, violators can face a fine of at least 1 billion Indonesian rupiah (2.3 million baht), a jail sentence from five years to life imprisonment, or even the death penalty.

So, then pending work permit applications can be thrown into the bin and ..... the Board of Trade has to update the "Alien Business Law" then by yet another profession reserved for the semi-divines.

It will be good company to "hair dressing" or "ice carving" then ............ Welcome to the 21st century from the Neanderthal ..........
