Top English Premier League soccer club, Liverpool, has issued a statement saying that they do not approve of the resale of tickets for the exhibition match at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on July 12th, between the club and Manchester United, billed as “The Match Bangkok Century Cup 2022.”

The club also said that it disagrees with the way by which the genuine tickets are being resold, which has led to misunderstanding among its fans.

It also denied a claim that some lucky fans will have theopportunity to dine with its players, adding that it is disappointed that its fans have received such misinformation.

Be a waste of money anyhow when the reserve and youth teams trots out on the pitch

Try telling the scalpers in the UK that then.

Rip off prices that’s why I refuse to go

Ok, they do not approve? So, what? What can they do it a person by up a lot of tickets, and after sell them cheaper?

They do not lose out on anything? They got payed for their tickets.

If they do not want things like this to happen. Limit sale to 10 per person, an 25 per company. If people want more they can get another one buying. No problem.

But, as usual the whole Liverpool FC is just a bunch of cry babies.

Yeah, and I am pretty sure they work 100 %. ????

Nonetheless, the policies are in place...maybe you should think about the context of the post I made in reply to another poster or ask someone to help you do so...

When the match was announced it was stated that the clubs will be fielding first team players. Of course, that claim may have all the validity of dinner with the players claims and the price of tickets which mysteriously doubled from the price agreed with the clubs. Nothing in Thailand escapes 'misunderstandings', corruption and the smoke and mirrors.

As another poster has suggested, you don't really know what you are talking about. It has absolutely nothing at all to do with the club. It is the local organisers who have allowed one person to buy so many tickets, when the official limit is four per person (read the linked story). My understanding is that the ticket price is also double that agreed with the clubs.

If you don't like Liverpool FC, fine. But don't make completely false and/or unsubstantiated accusations about how the club conducts itself.

Sales were supposedly limited to four per applicant. The fact that some celebrity hiso got her hands on thousands for resale and pushed add-ons that don't exist reeks.

I’m not sure why someone would want to buy tickets to sell them cheaper. A lot of football clubs have clauses in their sales contracts where the ticket buyer agrees to not resell them. Usually this targets those trying to make a profit by selling them for more on the black market. In such case they can cancel the ticket, sue for compensation, and block the buyer from future sales.

Could be that the promoter have thousands of unsold tickets and was unable to reduce the ticket price , so it was "arranged" for a celebrity to buy the access tickets and sell them off at a cheaper price , that way the tickets get sold and the promoter hasn't lowered the ticket price

A PR trick from a famous person, to be seen as even better and greater. Also out of the reason someone think ordinary people should have the chance to go to the game.
