I'm in Patong Beach currently and looking for a decent one bedroom condo or house in Patong or one of the nearby beaches. Not looking for top end property but not looking for Thai family accommodation either - anyone have any leads? Will go for six or twelve months. Thanks

your best bet is to drive around on a motorbike and go in where you see a 'for rent' sign. also try www.houseinphuket.com but pickings are thin at the moment.
