Police have advised the press that youths involved in a filmed robbery attempt of a group of M5 secondary schoolboys could have them jailed for years.

The clip was on Red Skull and showed a group of youths in masks and one in a motorcycle helmet approach several Bodindecha (Sing Sing Seni) pupils on their way home.

The youths were armed with a knife and have since been captured and charged. They were attempting to steal one of the boy's commemorative brooches, an item worn by many schoolchildren especially at top schools like this one in Wang Thong Lang, reported Thai Rath

Police said that it amounted to armed robbery that could see jail terms of between 10 and 15 years.

The youths involved in the attempted robbery and assault have told police that it was a spur of the moment thing and they were collecting the insignia from various educational institutes.
