PTT, Bangchak gas stations crowded with vehicles queuing to fill up following price cut

Many cars and trucks have been queueing at PTT and Bangchak service stations in Thailand since 5am this morning (Friday) to refill their vehicles, after the two oil companies cut their prices of benzine products by 3 baht/litre, effective today.

Bangkok Christian College Reports Current 200 Covid-19 Cases

BANGKOK, July 8 (TNA) – Bangkok Christian College, a private boys’ school in Bangrak district reported about 200 Covid-19 infected students and personnel, currently being treated and the total number of infections has increased to more than 700 since the beginning of the new semester in May.

Petrified log in Tak recognised by Guinness World Records

An ancient petrified tree, found in a petrified forest in Thailand’s Doi Soi Malai National Park in the western province of Tak, has been recorded by Guinness World Records as the longest petrified log in the world, officially measuring 69.7 metres, according to the Department of Mineral Resources.

Community isolation to be reactivated as new COVID infections surge in Bangkok

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is considering reactivating community isolation facilities in 50 districts for COVID-19 patients in slum areas, to separate the infected from those over 60 years old, people suffering from underlying diseases and pregnant women, as new infections hit 2,000 a day in the capital alone.
