Does someone have to sign for EMS package?

Someone who stays in the same BK condo as me asked if I knew about EMS packages. I told him I'd try to find out.  His question:  He'll be receiving an EMS package soon from Pattaya to his BK condo. Does anyone have to sign for it? If he's out can a condo office worker sign for it on his behalf? What happens if he's out & the office is closed?

Thanks for responses. I'll probably see him again in the next few days.

And will that card say that your package is now at 'so and so'  local P.O waiting collection?

Y3s, and you can collect or rearrange delivery.(thats doesnt always happen, areas vary, but that is what is supposed to happen)

If he needs information on his specific delivery he should call EMS customer service to ask the questions pertaining to his issues. And ask the juristic person if they sign for it

Its very nice for you to help him out.

Anyone can sign for it.

Years ago I got a new UK passport from the embassy in Bangkok. For some reason they delivered it to the local shop and they signed for it.

Other more recent deliveries have been signed for by the condo cleaner.
