Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on Tuesday denied that he pushed for the decriminalization of hemp and marihuana to benefit a family business.

 

“I have nothing to do with Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction (STEC) for more than 20 years now,” he told reporters.

 

“The company used to belong to my brother…and I did not see him for a long time now and the company was dealing in the hemp business, not marijuana,” he said addressing a separate company run by his brother that is involved in the hemp business.

If he is not making a quid out of Ganja he is certainly capable of making a (another) fortune out of selling BS.

If his lips are moving you know what's being spouted is BS.

the “Charnvirakul network” had set up a subsidiary in 2021 to invest in hemp businesses before the hemp and marijuana bill, which was being pushed by Anutin’s Bhumjaithai Party, passed its third reading in parliament.

 

What an amazing coincidence, A.K.A. bull.... !

Since we all know only too well that most of high ranking (and the rest) office holders of the Thai government have in one way or another, a vested interests in many areas of commerce, why are surprise at any thing those guys are doing?...

family always comes first in Thailand... Don't even need to see each other, but surely benefitting each other is normal. Hemp Marijuana, gloves, vaccines, oil, just name it and most businesses are all whole family businesses to help to get richer and more get more influence.. senators amd MP who give jobs to family is the same

If he is not benefiting from it already, he should be.

He worked very hard to get the decriminalization through and the end result is probably better than most ever hoped for or believed would happen.

Well done Anutin, you deserve your own little bit of corruption extra income.

Arise Sir Anutin, your incompetence ensured that this bill stumbled and bumbled through, right up to the point where you lost control of your baby.

Yes, yes, Mr. Anutin, it's common knowledge that all Thai families (particularly the very, very rich ones) are very loosely knit entities whose members keep their assets strictly separate, guarding them jealously from one another. They never-never-never collaborate in any business dealings nor ever-ever-ever help each other out.

 

But wait... I vaguely remember that "other" politician who at one time had transferred all his shares in a certain telecom company to his children, apparently) so THEY could attempt selling off those shares. If they had succeeded, the sales profit would of course never (!) have benefitted the original share owner because (see above).

 

And then there was the case where majority shares in a business (and I believe it again was that '"ther" politician) apparently were held by the maid, which basically made her the richest maid in the world. And giving away those shares was of course a completely altruistic gesture by the original share owner...

 

But we believe you, Mr. Anutin. Since you haven't seen your brother "in a long time" and haven't been involved with your brother's company "for more than 20 years now", it certainly is pure coincidence that your brother's company has a stake in the hemp business. 

 

 

Why does Anutin always wears a doctors shirt?  He is no way trained in anything relating to the medical profession.  Just shows what a total fraud he is.

Q. How can you tell a politician is telling a lie?

A. You can see his lips move.

 

I looked very carefully at this picture, for several minutes. Not once did I see his lips move. Therefore, he must be telling the truth!

Anutin's filthy hands are all over the new canabis trade. He will be making bongs next.
