BANGKOK (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the marketing plan for 2023 that will continue the revitalization and transformation of Thai tourism initiated this year.

Recently, TAT hosted its annual TAT Action Plan for 2023 conference to discuss post-covid tourism strategies.

During the conference, TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn stated that the agency has already outlined a marketing strategy for the upcoming year that adheres to the TAT’s Corporate Plan 2023-2027 to strengthen the TAT’s position as the strategic leader in driving Thailand toward experience-based and sustainable tourism.

The TAT will continue to utilize "Visit Thailand Year 2022-2023: Amazing New Chapters" as its international communication strategy. Under the ’From A to Z: Amazing Thailand Has It All’ slogan, Thailand will continue to be marketed as a world-class destination with something for everyone. This will be displayed alongside the kingdom’s 5F and 4M soft-power foundations.

According to the TAT Governor, TAT and airlines will form additional collaborative partnerships to promote international tourism. By promoting Thailand as a year-round destination, emphasis will also be placed on increasing domestic tourists’ travel frequency.

The TAT marketing plan is consistent with the Bio-Circular-Green or BCG Economy Model, which conforms to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Additionally, the agency will utilize the Thailand Tourism Virtual Mart at https://virtualmart.tourismthailand.org as the primary online B2B platform for Thai tourism businesses and international tourism operators.

Something wrong with the slogan then, BA announced the extension of no flights to Thailand.

Do I have to write it in Thai so the Tat is aware of it ?

Can anyone translate the above into an understandable language please!

Especially one that potential tourists could possible understand

You can only laugh at stuff lIke this. Full of incomprehensible buzzwords, government propaganda and the mindless utterances of those who have no idea what is happening in the real world. All current evidence shows that European travellers are trading down because their financial situation is deteriorating, they are less inclined to have long haul holidays disrupted by the airport chaos engulfing most major hubs and so are trading down to shorter holidays taken closer to home. And now TAT is pushing up market against all evidence. But I suppose they have to empty their budgets asap or they won't get any more funds in the next round of allocations.

OK, All sorted then. :stoner:

Don't worry all, there'll be another 'New announcement' after their next committee party, whoops sorry meeting, which I guess they all get 10,000 baht for attending.

... and don't forget the 5 D's:

- double pricing

- dangerous roads

- disrupted pavements

- dogs everywhere

- dangerous ladyboys

Didn't they already announce a marketing plan a few days ago?   Thank goodness the 4Fs and the 5Ms were retained!!!   So important in encouraging people to choose Thailand!!!  Come for the 4Fs!  Stay for the 5Ms!  Umm, what were they again?  And, weren't there a couple of Qs?

A news report at the lowest level of information. It doesn't get any more vague than that. What is the TAT budget for 2023?
