Long traffic delays at Dover ferry port are fault of Brexit, claim French

Shocked to hear The Guardian is blaming it on Brexit and The Tories ????.

This quite a good example of how some U.K media operates .

There is a current news  story about delays on the French side of the border caused by a technical glitch , lack of Fench  staff , cancelled UK flights , Covid checks , UK holidays

Yet the Guardian ignore all that and print a story about Brexit and Boris and apportioning all blame to them , and their readers lap it up because it reaffirms their opinion that Brexit is to blame for everything .

One sided , biased and not impartial reporting

Well, so you're claiming that security climate of roughly 50 years ago was no different than it is today?

Boats invading would have been shot out of the water 50 years ago. ????

No, all those are still available .

Although young unskilled Europeans can no longer get a boat across and apply for low paying unskilled work , they need to get a visa first before travelling

And that's a benefit?

And there it is. You want so badly for your imaginary fantasy to be true that if you can't get enjoyable benefits from Europe then at least others have suffered by your acts.

You have stabbed yourself in the face so mommy will sob for you.

You played yourself.

When others embarrass themselves with codswallop like this I actually feel sorry for them.

My acts. Gawd.

Welcome, Bruno.

As we are dealing in generalisations, this might be classified as a typical comment from the Brexiter camp: A statement without any supporting evidence

Yes, as people are making generalisations , nice of you to add tour own generalisation at the end .

   Great example there

Not whining just asking Brexiters to justify your position by supplying a rational argument to support your position.

After all, you did keep insisting that you knew what you were voting for, right?

No!

We knew what we were voting AGAINST.

You remainers never quite grasped that one  - but, hey! that's history, move on  -  if you can.

The UK cannot fill these unskilled, relatively low-paid jobs from the domestic workforce.

Besides which, I thought that one of the by-products of Brexit was meant to be the up-skilling of the workforce?

Could try cutting UK benefits and increasing the wages ?

Then just own the shambles that you helped create instead of forever blaming Remainers and the EU.

The UK government needs to take responsibility and be accountable for its' actions; something that it has almost completely neglected to do since 2016.

We've been done this road so many times before.

Yes, move on .

Brexit was years ago and the concerns of today are Covid and Ukraine and French immigration incompetence

Nobody is blaming remainers, it is people like you who are still  smarting 6 years on.

YOU, forget, the UK populace voted to leave, so put it on the shelf, you lost.....Finished....????

You could but, presumably, you wouldn't want to cut benefits for those in genuine need (as opposed to those who might be labelled 'workshy'. I'd suggest  that developing the criteria to differentiate isn't an overnight job.

I'm all for improving workers' T&C but  perhaps, today's economic climate isn't the best time to add to the inflationary pressures.

I know that I shouldn't encourage you, but I'm curious how you arrive at these assumptions (especially the bizarre nonsense about visas and the Costa de Lotta)?

The referendum was years ago but how can you ignore the ongoing effects? The fact that the UK government wants to renegotiate the Withdrawal Agreement demonstrates that:Brexit' is still a 'live' issue today.

And do you really expect a sensible answer?
