Thai economy expected to be affected by global turbulence for 2 more years

Thailand’s economy will be affected by global economic turbulence, which may for last two years, during which growth in Thai exports will contract while domestic inflation will increase, said Kobsak Pootrakool, former Prime Minister’s Office Minister and, currently, senior executive vice president of the Bangkok Bank.

NHSO improves 1330 hotline service for COVID-19 patients

The National Health Security Office (NHSO) has improved its 1330 hotline service to accommodate those testing positive for COVID-19 with rapid antigen tests, by providing them with counselling and medication or arranging hospitalisation, said NHSO Secretary-General Dr. Jadet Thammathat-Aree yesterday (Sunday)

Pattaya goes viral on Thai media, incident allegedly sparked by earlier personal conflict

Banglamung, Chonburi – A local female bar owner reported to the police after her bar in the Nong Prue Subdistrict of Banglamung was reportedly attacked by a foreign man, causing property damage. The man was also also captured on CCTV urinating in front of the shop early Friday morning, July 22nd.

CAMBODIA confirmed that a Nigerian man infected with Monkeypox who had escaped medical treatment in Thailand was arrested last night (July 23) and he is now under the care of a medical team at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, Sanook.com said.

NBTC urged to accelerate consideration of True-DTAC merger plan

Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) and Norway’s Telenor are urging the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), Thailand’s telecom and broadcasting regulator, to speed up the issuance of conditions to govern the planned merger of their two subsidiaries, True Corp and Total Access Communication (DTAC).

Nineteen people in Phuket who had contact with monkeypox infected Nigerian tested

Provincial health officials in Phuket have located 19 “high risk” people who were found to have had close contact with the monkeypox-infected Nigerian man, who was the first confirmed case in Thailand and is currently being treated at a hospital in Cambodia.
