A Thai family of four members including two five-year-old and eight-year boys suffered severe injuries after crashing into a street barrier while on a trip to Pattaya.

The tragic accident took place on Sunday, July 24th, on Motorway Road inbound to Pattaya. A purple Honda Jazz sedan carrying a Thai family of four members reportedly rammed into a street barrier, severely injuring all four victims.

The four unfortunate victims included a father and driver, Purivat Lanprasert, 29, a small son, Phatakorn, 5, who sustained serious injuries, another son, Naphatsakon, 8, and a mother, Anjana Yallah, 29. All the victims were rescued from the car wreck by Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue workers and were rushed to the nearest hospital.

until this culture and people take a serious stance on this issue the carnage will continue. they should consider stopping using words like tragic and unfortunate.

this is now just pure negligence for a number of generations.

All the kids unbelted or not in suitable seats I expect.

What a horror story.

The Jazz is NOT the choice of vehicle one wants to be in when involved in a road incident

probably involved some combo of speed, poor judgment and lost of control

Driving in a convoy with 5 others. A friend said '' I saw him driving at high speed before suddenly losing control and slamming into the barrier ''  so yet again just another incompetent driver with no thought for others or his kids.

No problem. I hope everyone recovers.  Parents buy another car and…

Voilá !  back to running on these roads because of… Nothing learnt.

If only Thailand had a police force!  Deterring speedsters should be the easiest road sin to cure.
