geovalin Posted July 26, 2022 Share Posted July 26, 2022 The water levels of the Mekong and Tonle Sap has risen and is likely to continue to rise after more than a month of persistent rainfall, raising flood alerts in various parts of the country. Chan Yutha, Spokesman and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, told local news last week that rainfall in the country is likely to decrease slightly in the next few days, but rainfall will continue in the upper Mekong Basin due to the low-pressure area. Hydrological stations at the Mekong and Tonle Sap reached a height of more than five metre above normal.
