Police and rescue services were called to the Luang Poo Iaw shrine on Sukhumvit Road outbound in Bang Poo, Samut Prakan last night after a drunk Thai man started smashing up the ornaments.

 

First to see the damage being inflicted on the near 100 year old shrine worshipped by locals was a motorcyclist. He informed the authorities. 

 

When police arrived to take the drunk man into custody he wouldn't go quietly and was tasered.

He rambled on about visiting the shrine before the last lottery draw and getting the number 04 from the spirits.

 

But 405 came up instead so he drove his motorcycle to the shrine to ask the spirits if they were genuine. 

 

Apparently not getting a good answer he then started smashing up a zebra before moving onto other animal ornaments.

Muang Samut Prakan police took him away to sober up before contacting relatives to pick him up.

 

They said they would contact the person who looks after the shrine to determine what value to put on the damage done, reported 77kaoded who had a video of the aftermath.

Alcohol.   Many more bad things happen than good.

If only he hit that bong for a few hours, he would be ooooooooooooooooook.

 

Note:  My spirit said 405.   If you want the next lottery numbers, send me 10 million baht.  

I didn't know zebras had any spiritual powers here in Thailand? Certainly no one takes any notice of the zebra crossings on the road..

 

A few bottles of blue Fanta, and the shrine will be okay again, I'm sure.

More like his doctor gave him the wrong medicines, if everyone in this country will get angry at some cement and paint structure for not winning the lotteries there will be very few building still standing... 

After this fragile show of manhood, I'm sure the shrine will give him the correct numbers next time! ????

Yes, the spirits are in a bad naughty mode, they also gave me wrong numbers in last week's EuroJackpot, so I lost 100 million euro, and I had even already detailed planned how to spend them...☹️

He got it all wrong. That were the numbers on his prisoner uniform...

I try to respect other people's religious beliefs, but you have to wonder how this guy is hearing the spirits talk to him.

The spirits were right. I distinctly saw a 4 and a 0 in the winning number. Maybe he was too drunk to remember the other one, and the order they were supposed to go in?

The only genuine spirit was in his bottle .

Suppose it is lucky that he does not live close to Chang Erewan......

Maybe he was drinking 485 and got confused with 405....

Well, if you are going to smash up a shrine, that's a fairly good way to get revenge on those dastardly spirits and their dubious lottery number calls. Serves those spirits right for getting their shrine smashed up. They should do better next time. 

Maybe the spirit was dyslexic. 

Well, they stitched him up good and proper. But the thing is, if we are contacted by spirits from the after world, they should tell us the right lottery numbers and not the wrong ones. Everyone knows that.
